Fun with Place Value

This week in math we explored factors, multiples, prime & composite numbers and place value.

The objective was for students to determine that each place to the left was 10x greater than the place to the left. For example: the tens place is 10 x greater than the ones place. Pretty simple, right? Some of us still had difficulty putting that into words, so we demonstrated with place value blocks.
