Happy Easter!

AIMS IS OVER! I'm so proud of the effort I saw put forth this year!
I'm sure you guys did AWESOME! Thanks for trying so hard! YOU ROCK!

Don't forget we have a 4 day weekend for Easter. Enjoy it! You all deserve it!!

We had some great assemblies in the last 2 weeks! Here are some pictures!
First Monte Selby came and sang for us (& with the Harmonizers!)

Then we had a visit from HHS Fusion Drumline... they were rockin!
We loved their music (& that guy's buffalo hat).

The Roadrunner was there too...

That same day we went over to the high school to see the drama club's production of "Mother Goose is Eaten by Werewolves" featuring some siblings of our classmates & some of Miss Jaster's past students. :) It was a great play, so funny!!! We loved it!

It had a pretty funny beauty contest featuring Adam's brother (in the blonde wig) & Brett's sister (who Miss Jaster taught)...she won, but her prize was being fed to a dragon. :(

Thanks to these wonderful visitors for brightening our slightly stressful test weeks!

Taylor Swift Haiku Contest

*Sponsored by Scholastic Books*
You could win concert tickets to see Taylor Swift! :)

Listen to the song "Long Live" & read the lyrics. See how Taylor paints a picture with her words about a memory she doesn't want to forget. Think about what has happened to you over this school year and write a haiku about a memorable moment (big or small!)

Remember, a Haiku is a 3 line poem with 5 syllables, 7 syllables, then 5 syllables.

If you want to enter this contest please give Miss Jaster your poems by TUESDAY (April 26th) so they can be mailed into the contest.

Good luck!
